The PMI-Pittsburgh Chapter is seeking volunteers for the following roles. Volunteering for your local chapter is an ideal way to become involved, to earn PDU's toward your continued PMP certification, and to reestablish contacts throughout the project management community.
Program Coordinator
The role and responsibilities of the Programs Coordinator is an appointed position that reports to Mike Rapach, VP of Programs. The responsibilities are:
- Lead effort to obtain qualified speakers for interesting & educational programs
- Establish meeting locations/arrangements for monthly Chapter meetings
- Provide timely information to VP of Communications & Publicity to advertise events
- Submit email note to Email Coordinator to send reminder of meeting to membership via email distribution list
- Obtain feedback on meetings from members including quality of programs, facilities, etc., enter data into a spreadsheet and produce pivot table reports
- Obtain electronic copies of presentation materials (i.e. bio, abstract & presentation slides) and forward to the webmaster for posting on the web site
- Produce a schedule of programs for upcoming meetings a minimum of six months in advance
- Increase attendance at Pittsburgh PMI Chapter meetings due to high quality of programs
