As part of the chapter outreach program, we strive to advance the profession and practice of project management by providing programs, resources and support to local academic institutions (high school, college, university) throughout the Pittsburgh area. Areas of focus include mentoring, promoting awareness of PMI academic standards, driving demand for undergraduate and graduate programs in project management, establishment of project management clubs or curriculum, and provision of expertise for knowledge sharing and panel discussions. Duquesne university – 2nd annual
intercollegiate project management triathlon

“A HUGELY SUCCESSFUL PROJECT”

The 2nd Annual Duquesne University Intercollegiate Project Management Triathlon was held at the University’s Power Center on March 25, 26, & 27, 2011 and it was certainly a huge success. The intercollegiate competition included four universities, including Duquesne University, Marquette University, University of South Carolina, and West Virginia University.

Following are the final results of the triathlon competition:

Team Quiz-Bowl: Teams of 4 students compete in a Jeopardy-style event. All questions are based on the PMBOK® and are equivalent to the CAPM® knowledge level.

Congratulations to all the winners!
