Speaker Bio: As a young man, Daniel Kruse won multiple awards in both the design and science arenas. This led to his pursuit of a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Brigham Young University. Upon graduating, Daniel joined Stryker Corporation in the EMS Business Unit as a Design Engineer. Three years later, he transitioned into a Senior Engineer role at Oshkosh Corporation focused on Cab and  Armor development for their Heavy Truck Business Unit.  Following Daniel’s 5 years in the Medical and Defense industries, he is now pursuing his MBA at the Tepper School of Business.

Daniel’s strong work ethic and consistent pursuit of excellence lead to multiple scholarships and memberships in the National Society of Collegiate Scholars and Golden Key International Honour Society and a U.S. Patent. In response to Daniel’s genuine interest in business management and leadership, he aspires to one day be a General Manager for a respectable “product based” company and serve on multiple “Boards” for organizations that are focused on improving peoples’ lives.

Daniel and his wife Shauna currently reside in Pittsburgh, Pa and have two daughters; Ava and Katrina. In addition to building strong relationships with his family, he has enjoyed serving in many community leadership positions such as being an LDS Missionary in the Philippines, President of a Men’s Religious Organization, Scoutmaster and the Chairman of an Emergency Preparedness Committee.  In his spare time, he enjoys being active, woodworking and planning the next incredible family vacation.
